Accomplished
I have fixed the archive and direct entry links. Enjoy!
someone who gets it
It would be cool to date someone who gets
this shirt, and thinks this is cute:
Roses are #FF0000
Violets are #0000FF

If you don't get it, you can rest assured you're not a geek... or at least not as big a geek as I am. ;^)
Kudos to
Violet for the

A brief moment in my life
A vignette in the life of a geeky guy who obviously spends too much time at home...
George, you missed a spot. No no, just to the right. right
ther.. no.
Never mind I'll just let you do your thing and put you back on your charger when you get tired out.
Sad, really.

city hall
I kind of like the blurry effect of this picture. It's indicative of the bumpy streets in sf.

Automated poo disposal
I'm psyched. The
CatGenie is on the way. It's a
Christmas present for the kitty.. (well, me really... well... both of us) If you add this to the
water dish and
the feeder, and
the sweeper, the
maintenance of this cat is almost entirely automated. Since I automate my bills, and recently hired a gardener, is it obvious how little I like chores by the lengths I'll go to avoid them? Up next: housekeeper, if I could find one that does laundry and windows, that would be IDEAL!

Near death experience
My kitty had a near death experience this morning, and being clueless as ever, she didn't even know about it.
I woke up at 4:30 this morning, and while still groggy, I heard the
ker-thump of my cat jumping down off of something. Those of you that own cats know that different heights and
floorings sound different, so you can tell the difference between say getting off of the bed and getting off of the kitchen counter. This one sounded different. It was higher than the bed and sounded like it came from the office.... Oh HELL no. I disabled the alarm and went into the office to discover that my stupid little cat has eaten HALF of my brand new plant. She's lucky she knew to hide. She's luckier she knew to hide long enough for me to cool off.
I'm
still quite irked and trying to figure out how I can have nice green plants in my office that aren't
available to be kitty food.
Let me just tell you here and now kitty (because I know that telling you here is as good as telling you to your face - stupid short term memory) my plants are NOT your food. If they make you sick and throw up all over the place, the only sympathy I'll have for you is for your stupidity.

Ok, back to our regular programming.

Just figures
So I've been listening to the same 10 albums or so for the last couple of months. Even though I've added some new stuff recently, it's starting to get tired. This morning I decided to throw the entire library into the party shuffler. My taste is rather
eclectic and there are some things in that library that I can only handle once in a while, if at all. I work for another couple of hours and really enjoy the mix. I decide it's time to get cleaned up and actually make the trek into the office (Shocker) so I crank the tunes and hop in the shower.
As soon as I'm quite wet, some country duet that I didn't know I owned came on the mix. It figures. When else would a song come on that I don't want to listen to, but when I can't hit next. I think my I suffered some permanent hearing loss as a result. I'm almost sure of it.
I'm including a neat picture from my driveway this morning. :) It's all about the little things, you know.

HDTV rocks!
Especially when you're not paying $5 a month on top of the $100 a month you're already shelling out. This is a picture of my half million antenna that came with a FREE HOUSE attached. Can you believe it?

what happens when the zamboni dies...

Oh what a beautiful morning
One of the nice things about starting work at 5:00 in the morning is that you get to see the sunrise.
On a different note, I'm not much of a protester myself, but I have to say that
this article makes me glad that this man is my bishop. As we said this summer, Bishop Marc Rocks.

Accomplished
I have now:
- Reconnected my downspouts on the uphill side of the house
- hooked up drainhose to the downspouts to drain water away from the foundation
- Replaced the two missing downspouts on the downhill side of the house
- Added a latch an lock to my water heater closet on the back porch.
Damn it's good to be home and taking care of business. Hopefully my foundation will only be marginally wet this winter. :^)
